From sketch to PSP, a comic style image of Zoe from Joss Whedon's Firefly.

Okay, editing notes! I've gotten far better at comic coloring than I was in the past, and it bothered me to move Zoe from my featured gallery because she wasn't particularly a good representation.

It's not as smooth as Rogue, or even as Phoenix. . . and it's not meant to be. I wanted to maintain as much of the sketchiness as I could, while still cleaning up the image a bit and adding a few more layers of shading, texture, and light.

Plus, her lips and eyes bothered me.

It's still not clean, or polished, but considering the image. . . I don't think "clean" or "polished" would have worked.

Definitly liking the sketchy feel too it. The face could use a few light skin tones though.

Thats very nice. I really dig the rough textured look of it. It has a very gritty quality about the piece. Very nice work. :D

GAH! I love it! Mostly because it's Firefly related...I also love the rough texture. Hummm I see what you mean by trying to make it look more Zoeish...perhaps her face is to round? I don't know...I think it looks amazing just the way it is :)

cool, but do more xmen, everyone knows xmen is better! j/k you keeping up with xmen and house of m and all that? I can only afford the main house of m limited, all the side things would be way too expensive, but its cool.

I reallt like her pose. But I think her face needs a bit more work, I couldn't say what exactly, but it looks like you cut off her head from another body and put it on this one.

I think the real problem with her head looking like that is actually in the string necklace, which really did not turn out well and makes it look like a bad paste job near her neck. Her face does still need work, though. *eyes it*
